Life Transitions
Many people have a love/hate relationship with change that can feel confusing. Change is often filled with seemingly opposing emotions: excitement, fear, risk, the desire for stability and predictability, and a calling to mix things up or try something new. Whether it be college, a move, new job, becoming a parent, getting married, divorce, retirement, or any other life transition—therapy can help you process and move through what's next. “If you want different, you have to do different.” While doing something different can be hard or scary it also has the potential to be amazing and better than you can ever imagine.
Self-Esteem
So often we seek outside ourselves to find happiness, calm our anxiety, or ________ (fill in the blank). While our circumstances and relationships greatly impact us, I believe true self-esteem is built upon the love, acceptance, and belief we hold in ourselves. Building or rebuilding a sense of self-worth, confidence, and trust in who you are is essential to maintaining healthy relationships with others and most importantly—ourselves.
“Owning our story and loving ourselves through that process is the bravest thing we'll ever do."
- Dr. Brené Brown
Grief and Loss
Grief can be loss of any kind. Whether it be from death, divorce, a job—anything that finds you in a place you did not desire, choose, or imagine. While grief isn't something we ever conquer, you can regain strength and hope to live fully. Humans are incredibly resilient and I would consider it an honor to help you move through your process.
Walk and Talk Therapy
Experience the mental and physical benefits of movement alongside talk therapy. Beyond decreasing symptoms of anxiety and stress, exercise has the power to improve your mood, increase energy, spark creativity, and help you get a better night's sleep. While enticing, this type of therapy is not for everyone. We’ll determine the best path forward for you in our assessment sessions.

Relationships
Relationships can be complicated with the potential to heal or harm. We're born with an innate need to connect, and those connections take time and energy to thrive. That's why I create a supportive space for you to discuss issues and define solutions around the most important relationships in your life—from romantic partners to friends, family, and self. Key relationship insights and expertise come from training in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and Gottman Method Couples Therapy.
Blending Families
Blending families can be a challenging experience for everyone involved and often takes more time than we would like. I work with adult individuals and/or couples at various stages of the unifying process. Expect a safe supportive space to process any difficult feelings you may experience around yourself, partner, kid/s, and/or stepkid/s. A path forward is possible. Let's find it together.
Premarital Counseling
Preparing for marriage matters. Set you and your partner up for success with a proactive approach. Explore your families of origin and define what matters most to you and your partnership. Premarital Counseling offers the opportunity to share expectations, unpack assumptions, navigate conflict, and learn to communicate more effectively.

What to Expect
Our first 3 meetings serve as an assessment to understand what you're experiencing and clarify your goals—they are not therapy sessions. Consider this time an opportunity to get to know me and determine if I'm the right therapist for you!
Change takes time. Sometimes longer than we want or expect. Showing up as an active participant makes all the difference.
I am sex positive and serve a diverse array of clients, including the LGBTQIA+ community.
Your voice matters and your feedback will determine how we move forward.
Good to Know
ALL of your experience is valuable. Even (and especially!) what feels like a mess or mistake.
Therapy is collaborative. You can achieve anything when you're willing to do the work.
The process can feel counterintuitive. Facing what we’ve been avoiding can feel uncomfortable and even painful—but it actually moves us closer to healing.
Taking action can be the most challenging stage of change. I believe most of us know what we want and living our truth is up to us.
